Greek marathon for competences – 2021-1-PMU-4367

From 29 May to 9 June 2023, we had the great pleasure of hosting in our Gymnasio Platamona 20 talented students from the Zespół Szkół im. Unii Mielnickiej in Mielnik. As part of a two-week transnational mobility, our children had the unique opportunity to participate in a series of educational activities educational activities, the themes of which included health, natural sciences, social responsibility and many other important topics. Last but not least, all activities were conducted in English, which contributed to the enrichment of the enriched the participants’ language skills and was one of the ways of integrating between Polish and Greek students.

Project no. 2021-1-PMU-4367 entitled „Greek marathon for competences”, co-financed by the European Social Fund under the Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development, has produced exceptional results. Our school shared its educational experience with its Polish partner.

During their stay with us, the Polish students not only actively participated in classes with our students, but also had the opportunity to learn about our culture, customs and history. Visits to places of great historical and cultural value, such as historical monuments or other fascinating places, were not only an educational experience, but also a way to gain a deeper understanding of our country.

The ‘Greek marathon for competences‘ project also contributed to the growth of the independence and responsibility of the participants. The children had to make new contacts and adapt to cultural differences, and actively participate in the activities at our school. activities in our school. This will undoubtedly contribute to their personal development and openness to the diversity of the world.

As a result of this project, our school has not only had the opportunity to share its knowledge and values with Polish students and teachers, but also to open up new educational and inter educational and intercultural horizons. As a school we have gained new experience in managing an international project, which is very valuable to us. We were also able to expand our knowledge of the Polish system of teaching, including the way lessons are conducted in Poland. Children from both countries have benefited tremendous benefits, which will undoubtedly have an impact on their future.
